Bella is a sophomore at Cornell pursuing a double major in Plant Science and International Agriculture and Rural Development. Her interests lie in sustainable farming and land-use management, with a focus on soil science and nutrient cycling. She has spent time in Nepal studying the impact of sustainable irrigation on gender empowerment and more recently in Hungary studying soil management. At Cornell, she works as a Lab Assistant in the Bogdanove Lab in Plant Pathology and as a Research Assistant for the Atkinson Center's Nature Sustainability Expert Panel Report. In her free time, Bella plays on the Cornell Ultimate Frisbee team and enjoys rock climbing and picnicking in the arboretum with friends.
