|Education||PhD student- Kyoto University, Japan. MSc in Geography. BSc in Forestry|
|STAARS Research||Biomass-energy dependency and implications for forest conservation policies in Malawi.|
I am a geo-scientist with vast skills in Geographic information systems and its application in Agriculture and natural resources. Being an expert in the field, I have gained relevant skills in GIS modelling and visualization of different socio-economic and biophysical aspects for decision making to reduce forest and land degradation amidst climate change impacts in Malawi. The fellowship will strengthen my skills in GIS modelling using advanced programming methods embedded in current GIS applications for Machine learning science. In addition, the research outputs will help to inform, design and implementation of forest conservation policies in Malawi.
