Alexander Mills is an M.S. candidate at Cornell University’s Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management. He holds a B.A. in Economics, Mathematics, and African Studies from Emory University, where he worked as a research assistant studying the nexus of conflict and natural resource extraction in Africa. He has also interned in various roles, including Syrian conflict analysis and measuring investments in food system transformation in Africa. His research interests include development economics, particularly rural development and food security.


In his free time, Alexander enjoys playing soccer, trail running, and backcountry skiing.
