Shivanshu Sharma is a second-year Master of Public Administration candidate at Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy with a concentration in International Development focusing on Agriculture and Food Policy. Shivanshu is interested in understanding the causes and consequences of poverty on household (HH) consumption patterns and intra-HH bargaining and distribution.
Prior to Cornell, Shivanshu handled multiple projects in diverse sectors for system strengthening and creating an enabling environment for advancing sustainable livelihoods, and sanitation agenda in India. He has successfully performed policy advocacy, program management, and partnership building with multiple stakeholders including organizations like The World Bank and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), government, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, among others.
At Cornell, Shivanshu also supports Cornell Policy Review in conducting podcasts on different topics related to International Development. When not working, Shivanshu loves to take long walks, play tennis and listen to podcasts.
