Kareena is an undergraduate student majoring in Economics at the College of Arts and Sciences, set to graduate in May 2025. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of agriculture, technology, and risk.

Beyond her coursework, Kareena is actively involved in several organizations, including a non-profit consulting club and a women’s leadership organization. She is also a Teach for America Ignite Fellow. Her professional experience includes research both on campus and during the summer, as well as a management consulting internship at Accenture in the summer of 2024.

Currently, Kareena is contributing to a book project with Professor Barrett, where she conducts in-depth research on the critical need for global investment in transitioning to healthy, equitable, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems to address global conflicts. In her final year at Cornell, under Professor Barrett’s supervision, she is undertaking an independent study focused on technology adoption and risk management among small-scale farmers.
